Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign rally originally scheduled for Point State Park Monday has been moved.

The evening rally was originally to be held at Point State Park, but it seems the Harris campaign is planning to host the event at a new site. The new location has not been announced.

Harris’s campaign on Sunday announced her upcoming Pittsburgh rally will feature musical performances from pop star Katy Perry, DJ D-Nice and singer Andra Day.

Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to hold a rally Monday at PPG Paints Arena as part of his Republican campaign.

Monday will mark Trump’s first public event in Pittsburgh during this election cycle. He is expected to speak around 6 p.m.

The Harris campaign has not responded to repeated inquiries from TribLive.

WTAE reported the venue change came amid safety concerns at the Point State Park location.

With both Harris and Trump slated to visit Pittsburgh Monday, Pittsburgh Public Schools will operate on a half-day schedule and nonessential Allegheny County and City of Pittsburgh workers will be dismissed at noon.

In a statement, the Harris campaign said Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will accompany the vice president at her Pittsburgh stop, as well as a later campaign event in Philadelphia, which will include performances by DJ Cassidy, Fat Joe, Freeway and Just Blaze, Lady Gaga, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Ricky Martin, The Roots, Jazmine Sullivan and Adam Blackstone and Oprah Winfrey.

Trump on Monday also will attend rallies in Raleigh, N.C., Reading, Pa., and Grand Rapids, Mich.

The Pittsburgh area has received more visits from presidential candidates than any other region in the country. With 19 electoral votes, Pennsylvania is the country’s largest swing state.
