Now that we’re all full and well-rested after a Thanksgiving feast, we’re ready to work off some calories by getting out and about this weekend. Whether you’re into music, comedy or some holiday fun, here are a few things to check out around town.

An Evening With Chevy Chase

“National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” is a holiday classic comedy film that stars Chevy Chase in the iconic role of Clark Griswold. This year is the movie’s 35th anniversary, and this Friday is a special gift for loyal “Christmas Vacation” fans.

Rivers Casino on the North Shore will screen the film, followed by a live Q&A with Chase and his wife, Jayni. This is a great chance to learn all of the fun behind-the-scenes moments and tricks from the film.

The event is 21 and will start at 7 p.m. Friday in the casino’s event center. For tickets, visit riverscasino.com.

Girl In Red

Pop artist Girl In Red will bring her I Have To See You Again Tour to Stage AE Friday night. The queer icon indie artist has a loyal fanbase and opened for Taylor Swift during her 2023 Eras Tour stops in Pittsburgh.

A Norwegian artist, she has won several Norwegian Grammy Awards and is known for her songs about romantic relationships, heartbreak and mental health.

The show starts at 7 p.m. Friday at Stage AE on Pittsburgh’s North Shore. To get tickets, visit axs.com.

Arcade Comedy Theater FriendsGIVING

Tickle your funny bone for a good cause Friday night. Head down to the Arcade Comedy Theater in Downtown Pittsburgh for an evening of improvised comedy.

They will also be running a basket raffle that will support the nonprofit theater ahead of Giving Tuesday, which is Dec. 3. All proceeds from the raffle directly support the theater.

The Select Start improv team will be looking for your suggestions during the short-form improv show, which starts at 9 p.m. Friday. So come with fun ideas — and prepare for lots of laughs.

Breakfast with Santa

It’s time for kids to make their Christmas lists — and for Santa to make his own list and check it twice. Come down to the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh Saturday morning for breakfast with Santa.

The event will include a breakfast buffet, fun crafts and activities centered around the holidays, and the appearance of Santa himself. Don’t miss the festive decorations around the hotel.

The buffet will include tasty favorites like waffles, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit and even a hot cocoa station.

Breakfast will be held on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Get your tickets here.

Carols, Crafts and Cocoa

From 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Allegheny RiverTrail Park in Aspinwall will host the perfect event to get the whole family into the holiday spirit.

Carols, Crafts and Cocoa will deliver on all three promises — with a performance by the Pittsburgh Youth Choir, a vendor market for holiday gift browsing, cookies and cocoa, and a visit from Santa from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

The event is free, but donations are encouraged. Get the details at alleghenyrivertrailpark.org.
