From Christmas cantata choirs to community bands to elementary and high schools, ‘tis the season for holiday music. Here are some seasonal concerts happening across southwestern Pennsylvania.

• Scottdale Concert Band holiday concert, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 3 at Woodcrest Senior Living Community, 1 Woodcrest Circle in Scottdale. For more, call 412-670-3233 or 724-875-2421.
• Carnegie Mellon Philharmonic and Chorus, 8-10 p.m. Dec. 5 at Carnegie Music Hall, 4400 Forbes Avenue in Pittsburgh. Tickets are $5 to $10 and are available at Eventbrite.com.
• Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra’s Friday Evening Club will hold its December recital at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg.
Voluntary donations are accepted at the door for non-members. The recital will feature pieces by Debussy, Sibelius and Liszt performed by West Virginia University adjunct faculty member and guest pianist Amy Simpson, along with several songs for the Christmas season.

• Kiski Valley Community Band Christmas concert, 7 p.m. Dec. 7 at Christ Lutheran Church, 5330 Old Logans Ferry Road, Murrysville.
Donations will be accepted to benefit Trinity Lutheran Church, North Side, Pittsburgh, and the Kiski Valley Food Bank.
• North Hills Chorale Christmas concerts, 7 p.m. Dec. 7 and 4 p.m. Dec. 8 in the St. Vincent Hall Auditorium at St. Louise Convent, 8150 McKnight Road, McCandless.
• Scottdale Concert Band holiday concert, 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at Scottdale United Brethren in Christ (former Christ United Methodist), 201 Market Street in Scottdale. For more, call 412-670-3233 or 724-875-2421.
The concert is titled “Cradle Him in Song.” Freewill offerings are accepted. Guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for the North Hills Community Outreach Food Pantry. More information is available at www.nhchorale.com.
• Penn-Trafford Community Band’s second annual free Penn Township Christmas Concert, 3-4:30 p.m. Dec. 8 in the large assembly room at the Community United Methodist Church, 3487 Route 130 in Harrison City
Families with children are invited, and accommodations will be available if the youngsters become distracted. The large assembly room has a seating capacity of more than 400 people.

• Jingles & Gingerbread at the Murrysville Community Library, 6-8 p.m. Dec. 9 at the library, 4130 Sardis Road.
The evening will include festive crafts, entertainment from the Penn-Trafford Flute Choir, Laurel Harmony Chorus and Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church Bell Choir, and chances to win raffle baskets.

• Ring Pittsburgh’s “A Spirited Christmas,” 2 p.m. Dec. 14 at Elfinwild United Presbyterian Church, 3200 Mt. Royal Boulevard in Glenshaw with the Ring Pittsburgh bell choir.
• Jeannette Community Band 36th annual Christmas Concert, 7 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Jeannette American Legion.
