The Pittsburgh Steelers are 9-3 and just put up 44 points en route to beating a hated division rival in their own building.

But, along the way, Joey Porter Jr. was flagged for six penalties, Mike Tomlin barely avoided another clock management fiasco, and Major League Baseball is apparently considering the dumbest rule change most of us have ever heard of in our lifetimes.

So, fret not about this week’s “U mad, bro. We’re doing just fine here.

Spicoli doesn’t think that the media is pressing Tomlin enough over a sequence during the win over the Bengals.

Actually, Spicoli, Tomlin was asked about it at the end of his press conference in Cincinnati.

Actually, Spicoli, CBS did talk about it during the game and I believe they even made an analogy to the Chicago Bears mishap on Thanksgiving Day.

As for myself, Iposted about it on social media as it was happening. I mentioned it in the column I wrote after the game, and I talked about it on WDVE the next morning, as well as on my “Monday Night Quarterback show later that night.

Sorry, Mr. Spicoli. Learn it. Know it. Live it.

This person wanted to add a comment about that situation as well.

It’s not a shelf. It’s a drawer. He keeps them in there along with all of his playoff wins since 2016.

Can you guess which collection takes up more space?

Jason has an opinion on why the Steelers bothered to trade for Mike Williams and have only thrown him one pass since.

Well, that backfired. Because now we are yelling about it more than we would have if they hadn’t bothered to trade for anyone in the first place.

Mervin emailed to gloat after Joey Porter Jr. got flagged six times in Cincinnati.

I believe I told you guys a few weeks ago that I believe Joey Porter is the most overrated football player to have ever played at Penn State. His performance sure made my opinion look ‘right on. I based my thoughts on having watched Penn State Football since 1963 [60 years]. Back before Joe Paterno, I graduated from PSU in one year (1964) and feel I have a good grasp of Sports Knowledge.

Ah! Well then, since you are such a fountain of well-aged football wisdom, perhaps you’ll remember the name Blair Thomas. He went No. 2 overall in the 1990 draft to the New York Jets — before the likes of Cortez Kennedy, Junior Seau and Emmitt Smith.

Now, remind me, Mervin, where did Thomas play his college football?

Simo would like to advance an addendum to the MLB Golden At-Bat discussion.

I wish your rule would’ve been on the books this season. On most nights, that would’ve been the only way for the Pirates to get a runner into scoring position.

Jim doesn’t sound like he is a fan of the Golden At-Bat idea, either.

Don’t be so sure, Jim. This Golden At-Bat idea may encourage Bob Nutting to keep Andrew McCutchen around for another 10 years. You might be speaking something into existence right now.

Finally, on Tuesday’s “Hard Knocks, Mike Tomlin was spotted eating a bag of Fritos during a film session. During “Countdown to Kickoff on Fox Sports Pittsburgh 970 AM, I mentioned that they were “Flamin’ Hot Fritos.

Apparently, I was grievously mistaken.

That’s right. Good catch by you. I should’ve known that. You are right to be critical of my failure in this regard.

In my defense, I’m not a big chili cheese Fritos fan. I’m not wild about Flamin’ Hot Cheetos or many other secondary-flavor snack products.

I’m a traditionalist.

Give me a bag of white cheddar Pop Corners and/or pretzel-flavored Goldfish crackers, though, and I’ll be satisfied if either one is my last meal on death row.
