Get ready for a double dose of Pearl Jam this spring.

The veteran alternative rockers are coming to Pittsburgh next year for a pair of shows on their Dark Matter tour, with concerts announced Thursday for May 16 and 18 at PPG Paints Arena.

The grunge rockers erupted in the early 1990s with songs like “Alive,” “Even Flow” and “Jeremy” and have been going strong ever since, releasing 12 albums, including their most recent, “Dark Matter.”

Pearl Jam hasn’t played Pittsburgh since Oct. 11, 2013, on their Lightning Bolt tour.

Tickets go on sale to Ten Club members today at pearljam.com. Tickets for the general public will be available in an artist presale at ticketmaster.com. For access, fans should sign up by 1 p.m. Dec. 10, with the presale starting at 10 a.m. Dec. 13.
