The coroner has been called to the scene of a fire involving multiple stations early Monday morning at a Kittanning home.
The fire was reported shortly before 4 a.m. on the 1400 block of Grant Avenue. Armstrong County 911 officials said no one had been transported from the scene by ambulance as of 5:20 a.m., however the county coroner was called just after 6 a.m.
Two firefighters were evaluated by paramedics after they were injured battling the blaze inside the house, emergency officials said. One was transported from the scene by ambulance, according to a 911 supervisor.
Because of heavy structural damage, fire crews were ordered out of the building just before 5:45 a.m. and were still at the scene as of 8:20 a.m., according to Armstrong emergency officials.
