The Duquesne women’s basketball team will enter familiar territory after landing a berth in the WNIT for the 11th time and second year in a row.

The WNIT did not announce matchups Sunday night, but bracket information and game times will be released Monday. The Dukes will be joined in the field by Atlantic 10 rival UMass.

Coach Dan Burt, who has been part of six of the WNIT appearances, has led the Dukes to a 19-12 record, 9-9 in the Atlantic 10. Duquesne lost to top-seeded Richmond, 63-58, in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Tournament.

Duquesne is paced by senior guard Megan McConnell (Chartiers Valley), who led the Atlantic 10 in many statistical categories, including scoring (18.8 points per game), assists (150) and assists per game (5.2). She ranks fourth in 3-pointers per game (2.1) while shooting 35.5% from beyond the arc.
