Church News
• Ligonier Valley Association of Churches will sponsor a living Last Supper at 4 p.m. April 13 at Heritage Methodist Church, 107 W. Main St., Ligonier. Presented in coordination with Westmont Presbyterian Church, choir members from several Ligonier-area churches and musicians from the Johnstown and Pittsburgh symphony orchestras will participate. There is no admission charge.
• Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1120 Harvey Ave., Greensburg, will have the following Holy Week and Easter services: Maundy Thursday, 7 p.m. April 17; Good Friday, 7 p.m. April 18; Easter sunrise, 6:25 a.m. April 20 outside in the church pavilion; and Easter Sunday, 9:30 a.m. April 20. Easter event

• Mon Valley Paws will sponsor a Paws and Posies event during operating hours April 12 at Pet Supplies Plus, 1 Sara Way, Rostraver. Pet owners can take photos of their pets in front of a floral background supplied by McShane’s Florist. Details:724-493-8305.
• Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church will sell chicken and biscuit dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. April 12 at the Cook Township Community Center, Route 711. Dine in or takeout. Menu: biscuits, chicken and gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce and homemade desserts. Cost: $9; children, $5.
• Jeannette Knights of Columbus hosts bingo at 7 p.m. Fridays in Mersinger Hall at Ascension Church, 615 Division St., Jeannette. Doors open at 6 p.m. and early birds begin at 6:30 p.m. Players younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Smoke-free venue. Food will be available and there will be a 50-50 and instant bingos. History
• Baltzer Meyer Historical Society, 642 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Hempfield, will sponsor a program with paranormal expert Jay Blackburn from 3 to 6 p.m. April 12. Penn State Master Gardener Patti Flowers will discuss how to use native species to create a pollinator garden from 1 to 3 p.m. April 13. Public welcome.
Meetings
• The Westmoreland County/Laurel Highlands chapter of the American Field Service high school student exchange program will meet at 7 p.m. April 14 at the One Room Schoolhouse, on the grounds of AK Hutchinson Elementary School, 810 Welty St., Southwest Greensburg. Students from Japan and Pakistan will present a program and serve refreshments. Public welcome. Host families are needed for the 2025-26 school year. • The Braddock Trail chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet April 12 at the chapter house, 200 S. Church St., Mt. Pleasant. Lunch will be at noon and the meeting will be at 1 p.m. The program will be about quilting. The nominating committee will give their report and chapter officers will be elected.
Special event
• The offices of Pa. Rep. Jill Cooper and Sen. Kim Ward will host a workshop, “Grants 101” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 16 at Delmont Fire Hall, 2360 Route 66.
