Summer Festivals Galore

Kick off the season with Mammoth Fest on Sunday, June 1 at Mammoth Park. Admission and parking are free, and kids can grab an All Day Activity Pass for just $5.

The Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival.

Then comes the biggest event of the summer: the Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival, July 3-6 at Twin Lakes Park. With over 100 artists and crafters, food from around the world, live music on four stages, and heritage exhibits, this event is a true celebration of culture and creativity.

In August, don’t miss Fun Fest at Cedar Creek Park on Sunday, August 3, featuring over 300 classic cars, carnival rides, games, and a massive flea market. Round out the season with the Labor United Celebration on Aug. 31 & Sept. 1 at Northmoreland Park — two days of music, crafts, circus acts, and family fun.

Free Summer Concert Series

Music fans are in for a treat with two free concert series:

Twin Lakes Park (Brian T. Rusnock Amphitheater) hosts Sunday shows throughout the summer with acts like The Allies Band and Catfish Creek Revival.

Cedar Creek Park Amphitheater features Saturday concerts with everything from rock and blues to fire dancers!

Bring your lawn chairs, grab a bite from on-site vendors, and enjoy a relaxed evening of entertainment under the open sky.

Family-Friendly Events

Three fishing derbies (April 27 at Mammoth Park, May 18 at Northmoreland Park, and June 15 at Twin Lakes Park) invite anglers of all ages to compete for trophies and prizes. Kids who register get a chance at door prizes too!

Looking for a little friendly competition? Sign up for one of several Poker Runs along the Westmoreland Heritage, Five Star, or Yough Trails. Walk or bike while collecting cards at stops — best hands win prizes, and it’s not a race!

Summer Camps for Curious Kids

Westmoreland Parks’ Summer Environmental Camps are the perfect mix of learning and play for ages 6 to 14. Popular programs include:

Wildlife Explorers (ages 6–10): Hands-on discovery of plants, animals, and habitats.

Ultimate Survivor (ages 10–13): Learn fire-building, first aid, and team challenges.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (ages 10–14): Solve a mystery using real forensic techniques.

The Summer Games and Water Wars round out the summer with active, outdoor fun.

Register online early — these camps fill up fast!
