Artisan festival planned in Armstrong County

The McCain House Artisan Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Armstrong County Historical Museum, 300 N. McKean St., Kittanning.

Admission is free and there will be artisans, makers, demonstrations, children’s activities, food and tours. The event is sponsored by the Armstrong County Historical Museum and Genealogical Society.


Tickets available for annual Leechburg Hall of Fame dinner

The annual Leechburg Hall of Fame Dinner will be May 18 at the Marconi Club, 135 River Ave., Leechburg.

This year’s honorees include Hank Commodore, Bishop Larry Kulick, Glenda Paul and Ava Ferretti. A cash bar will be at 5:30 p.m. and a buffet dinner will be at 6. Tickets are $30 and include dinner and dessert.

Paper shredding event set in Cheswick

Pa. Rep. Mandy Steele will sponsor a free paper shredding event from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at her office, 1296 Pittsburgh St., Cheswick.

Paperwork should in paper bags or boxes and should not include binders, binder clips or staples. Acceptable materials include documents that contain Social Security, credit card and bank account numbers, credit card applications, pension information, canceled or unused checks, insurance and income tax records and band and credit card statements.
