The Global Leadership Summit is an annual event hosted by Willow Creek Church in Chicago and livestreamed all over the world, 9:30 a.m.- 5 p.m. Aug. 7-8. Sewickley United Methodist Church has two services each Sunday: 9 a.m. contemporary, featuring our praise band Leap of Faith; and 11 a.m. traditional, with nursery care and children’s ministries during both services.

The United Women in Faith will host a Sale for Missions from 3 to 7 p.m. May 9 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 10 at the church. All proceeds from the sale are used to fund local, national and international United Women in Faith mission projects.

St. Brendan’s is an open, welcoming and active church that holds in-person worship with Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sundays and 6 p.m. Wednesdays. Nursery coverage is available for children at the Sunday 10 o’clock service, which is livestreamed on YouTube.
The church holds a monthly Children’s Service at 10 a.m. on the fourth Sunday of each month, inviting young members to take part by reading and serving during the liturgy. The next Children’s Service will take place May 25.
St. Brendan’s next Mask-Up Sunday will be June 1, when everyone at the 10 a.m. service will be asked to wear a mask. This monthly courtesy provides extra protection so that members with health concerns can worship in person.
The Book Club will meet on June 2 at 1 p.m. to discuss “Master Slave Husband Wife” by Ilyon Woo. The nonfiction book details the escape of two 19th-century abolitionists from slavery.
The Social Justice Ministry will host a presentation by Casa San Jose on May 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the social hall. Speakers will discuss how to respond to the erosion of human rights for immigrants in the United States.
St. Brendan’s is collecting donations of liquid hand soap, deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, body wash and other toiletries to support the North Hills Food Bank. Donations may be left in the church lobby.
Sticks & Strings, the church group that likes to knit, crochet or embroider, meets on the third Tuesday and first Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. in the library.
