Pitt nabbed its first four-star recruit in the Class of 2026 on Sunday when offensive lineman Day’Jon Moore committed to coach Pat Narduzzi.

A 6-foot-3, 305-pound interior lineman at Willis High School in Texas, Moore is Pitt’s 17th commit in the Class of 2026.

He announced his commitment on Instagram while on an official visit to campus this weekend.

Moore was a District 13 Class 6A first-team selection as a junior. He is rated as the 55th-best interior offensive lineman in the nation and 105th-ranked player in Texas.

He chose the Panthers over offers from Arizona State, Baylor, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Houston, Kansas, Maryland, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio State, Sacramento State, San Diego State, SMU, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Tulane, UNLV, UTSA and Vanderbilt.

Rivals ranks Pitt as the 35th-best recruiting class in the country for 2026.

Pitt also received a commitment from an offensive lineman in the 2027 recruiting class on Sunday.

Colin Urrea, a 6-2, 281-pound center/guard from Community School of Naples in Florida, chose Pitt over offers from Duquesne, Louisville and Toledo, among others.
