Westmoreland County detectives are investigating a police-related incident in Ligonier Township on Saturday, a spokeswoman for the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office said.
Spokeswoman Melanie Jones did not provide details about the nature of the incident, which she said happened around 5 p.m. near Route 30 and Baywood Road.
“It is contained,” Jones said shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday. “There are no injuries to officers and no threat to the community.”
No further details could be released at that time, Jones said.
Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson said he was at the scene. He did not immediately provide any information.
State police did not respond to requests for information.
