A Jeannette man riding a motorized bicycle was killed late Thursday when a vehicle collided with it, according to Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson.
Jayden Lynch, 19, was riding the bicycle westbound on College Avenue in Hempfield around 11 p.m. when he was hit. The collision happened near the intersection with North Greengate Road. Both the bicycle and the vehicle were headed west.
Carson said the vehicle fled the scene. State police are investigating. No information was available early Thursday.
Lynch’s cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy. A funeral home had not been selected.
