Aidan Shaffer
Yough, Jr. QB/DB
The junior was the second leading receiver on the team last season with 26 catches for 501 yards and five touchdowns. Now he moves to quarterback to replace Raidon Kuroda, now at Seton Hill. His main receiver should be senior Ryan Sarver, who led the Cougars with 33 catches for 397 yards and five touchdowns.
Dawson Wolfe
Southmoreland, Jr. QB/LB
The junior moves to quarterback to replace transfer Anthony Smith. Wolfe started at linebacker to past two seasons, was second in tackles with 65 and had three interceptions in eight games. First-year coach Dustin Shoaf said he likes Wolfe’s arm and mobility and is confident he can operate the offense.
Tyrone Leonard
Franklin Regional, Jr., WR/DB
Leonard caught a touchdown pass last season while playing at West Mifflin. He transferred to Franklin Regional, and coach Lance Getsy likes what he brings to the Panthers. He is quick and shifty, and he contributes toughness.
Aidan Stinebiser
Hempfield, Sr. RB/DB
The senior was the leading rusher for the Spartans last season with 576 yards on 145 carries. He also caught 12 passes for 162 yards and scored five touchdowns. Hempfield coach Nick Keefer expects Stinebiser to have a big season running behind a gigantic offensive line averaging 265 pounds.
