LaVerne Ethel Newcamp Miloser, 95, of Indiana Township, passed away peacefully on Sept. 22, 2024, with family by her side. Born on Aug. 16, 1929, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ethel and Raymond Newcamp. LaVerne attended Etna High School followed by secretarial school. Before becoming a devoted wife and mother, LaVerne worked as an executive secretary at Pittsburgh Plate Glass. Her children fondly recall stories of her time in corporate America during the city's industrial heyday. LaVerne will always be remembered for her cinnamon twists, breads, and cookies. She loved watching cooking shows and enjoyed sharing her baked goods with family, friends, and neighbors. Her passion for baking was passed down to her grandchildren, who loved helping her in the kitchen during their visits. She instilled the values of hard work and perseverance in her children and grandchildren. Known for her quiet strength and caring nature, LaVerne was a loving mother and grandmother who took great pride in her family. A long-time parishioner of St. Francis of the Assisi, she was always ready to lend a helping hand. She is survived by her son, Dr. Stephen Joseph Miloser (Darlene); and their two sons, Adam (Kelli) and Eric; her daughter, Geryl Ann Craft (Stephen); and their daughter, Katelyn. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Miloser; and her son, David John Miloser. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Friday, at St. Joseph Church, Christ the King Parish, 342 Dorseyville Road, 15215. LaVerne will be laid to rest next to her husband, Gerald, at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
