A tractor-trailer overturned Wednesday morning on the 62nd Street Bridge, forcing a shutdown of the bridge during the morning rush hour.

At about around 2:45 a.m., emergency services were called to the span connecting Pittsburgh’s Stanton Heights neighborhood and Sharpsburg. Allegheny County 911 said police, fire and EMS personnel reported to the scene.

One person was transported to a hospital from the scene, dispatchers said.

The bridge remained closed as of 6:20 a.m.
