Nate Desmond

Penn-Trafford, Sr., QB

The senior quarterback is off to a good start for the Warriors. He has completed 35 of 57 passes for 560 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for two scores. He completed 17 of 28 passes for 252 yards and a winning a 15-yard pass to Landyn Stikkel last week in a 25-24 victory over Moon. Desmond also ran for an 8-yard touchdown. The Warriors open Class 5A Big East Conference play at Woodland Hills this week.

Jerry Davis

Greensburg Central Catholic, Sr., WR/LB

The all-state sprinter returned an interception 70 yards for a touchdown to help GCC rally past Apollo-Ridge last week. He also had three catches for 27 yards and a touchdown. He and the Centurions will open Eastern Conference play against Clairton on Friday.

Aaron Gaskey

Latrobe, So., TE/DE

The 6-foot-2, 206-pound two-way starter has seven catches this season. He caught a fake punt for a first down against Norwin and caught the tying touchdown against Plum. The Wildcats will host Franklin Regional on Friday.

Josh Lenart

Norwin, Sr., HB/LB

Lenart is 3 for 3 passing for 41 yards. He has scored two touchdowns. He also has 11 tackles, two quarterback sacks, three tackles for loss, an interception and a blocked punt. The Knights visit Seneca Valley for the Class 6A opener Friday.
