An Indiana County woman who state police said is responsible for a fatal stabbing was charged Sunday with criminal homicide.
Jessica Lynn Morelli, 36, of Burrell Township is accused of stabbing a man multiple times Sunday, according to state police.
Troopers and Blairsville Borough Police were dispatched around 7:15 p.m. Sunday to Morelli’s residence along Pender Avenue. A man, who Morelli lived with, was transported to Allegheny General Hospital, where he later died from multiple stab wounds, state police said. His name was not available.
Morelli was placed in Indiana County Jail, awaiting a preliminary hearing, state police said. Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi’s office is investigating.
