Annabel Miko scored a pair of goals to lead Quaker Valley to a 3-1 victory over Central Valley (10-3-1, 7-2-1) in Section 3-2A girls soccer Wednesday night.

Rowan Wallace also scored and Hope Waller had a pair of assists for the Quakers, who clinched sole posession of the section title.

Ambridge 3, Hopewell 0 – Norah Marchionda had a hat trick for Ambridge (5-8, 2-7) in a Section 3-2A win over Hopewell (0-12, 0-10).

Belle Vernon 5, Charleroi 0 – Ali Watson scored four goals to power Belle Vernon (12-4-1, 9-2-1) to a Section 1-2A win over Charleroi (1-13, 1-10).

Bentworth 2, Chartiers-Houston 1 – Joa Johns and Brielle Dillion scored as Bentworth (14-1-1, 10-0) finished its Section 2-A schedule unbeaten with a win over Chartiers-Houston (7-5-2, 5-3-2).

Burrell 2, Shady Side Academy 1 – Katie Koehler and McKenna Miller scored a goal apiece to lead Burrell (9-4-2, 6-3-1) past Shady Side Academy (6-9, 4-6) in a Section 2-2A win.

Deer Lakes 6, Southmoreland 1 – Bri Simonetti scored a pair of goals to send Deer Lakes (13-2, 8-2) to a Section 4-2A win over Southmoreland (7-8-1, 5-5). Claire Cacurak, Tessa Hollibaugh, Cadence Drum and Josie Buchanon also scored for the Lancers.

Fox Chapel 6, Gateway 1 – Emily McKee and Lily McLaughlin scored two goals apiece to lead Fox Chapel (13-1-1, 9-0-1) to a Section 1-3A win. Ava Stackhouse and Taylor Wilkinson also scored for the Foxes. Peyton Kyper scored for Gateway (5-8-1, 2-6-1).

Freeport 3, Knoch 0 – Camryn Woods scored two goals and Nia DiSanti added one to lead Freeport (14-1, 10-0) to a Section 2-2A win over Knoch (3-10-1, 2-7-1). Alyssa Alcorn recorded the shutout.

Greensburg Salem 7, West Mifflin 0 – Alicia Willett had a hat trick and Eden Wilson, Aislinn Carr, Maddie Steel and Emily Smith also scored to lead Greensburg Salem (6-9, 4-7) past West Mifflin (4-11, 1-10) in Section 4-3A. Abigail Saville recorded the shutout.

Keystone Oaks 8, Steel Valley 1 – Aly Simon scored a hat trick, including her 50th career goal, as Keystone Oaks (8-8, 7-4) defeated Steel Valley (1-12, 1-10) in Section 1-2A. Nevaeh Hamilton had two goals and Bella Bischof, Maddie Arment and Braidy Lugaila also scored for the Golden Eagles.

Latrobe 9, Hempfield 0 – Annalyse Bauer had a hat trick and Emerson Shine and Geli Dent scored two goals apiece to lead Latrobe (8-6, 7-3) past Hempfield (3-13, 2-8) in Section 1-4A. Ellie Petruzzi and Liv Ross also scored, Dent, Bauer and Ella Plundo each had two assists and Gianna Trunzo earned the shutout in goal.

Ligonier Valley 3, North Star 1 – Sophie Cairns, Leah McCall and Abby Springer scored for Ligonier Valley (3-12, 2-8) in a Section 4-2A win. Sydney Nellis scored for East Allegheny (1-12, 0-10).

Mars 10, Penn Hills 0 – Liv Halliday scored two goals for Mars (11-3-1, 7-2-1) in a Section 1-3A win over Penn Hills (1-13, 0-9). Maeve O’Leary, Addison Orehowsky, Gabby Gage, Chloe Karsman, Ava Girdwood, Jade Breese, Cori Sprague and Emersyn Thimons also scored for the Fightin’ Planets.

Montour 1, Trinity 0 – Irelyn Hobbs scored to lead Montour (12-2, 10-1) to a Section 2-3A win over Trinity (2-8-2, 1-8-1).

Moon 3, Seton LaSalle 0 – Kendall Dydek, Junie Shaver and Maddie Shaver scored a goal apiece to lead Moon (14-1) to a nonsection win over Seton LaSalle (10-4).

North Allegheny 4, Butler 0 – Mwende Abai, Emma Schupanksy, Bella Montgomery and Averie Bierker scored and Jordan Beemer kept a clean sheet to lead North Allegheny (11-3-2, 5-2-1) past Butler (6-8-1, 1-6-1) in Section 3-4A.

North Catholic 13, Valley 1 – Simone Sharpless had three goals and three assists and Megan Heinbach added two goals and an assist for North Catholic (12-4, 7-3) in a Section 2-2A win over Valley (0-12, 0-10). Kaitlyn Phillips also scored twice, Reagan Young and Frankie Liberati each had a goal and an assist and Sara Schollaert, Nina Bond, Erika Mitchell and Jada Lichtenwalter added a goal apiece.

Norwin 11, Woodland Hills 1 – McKenzie Carpenter and Kennadee Richardson scored two goals apiece as Norwin (13-2, 10-0) defeated Woodland Hills (1-11, 0-10) to finish its Section 1-4A schedule undefeated. Gianna Marts, Nicole Bown, Tatum Casper, Bella Buscemi, Lydia Breauchy, Ava Bobby and Lessia Phetsomphou also scored for the Knights.

Oakland Catholic 2, Laurel Highlands 1 – Avianna Gibbs scored a pair of goals to send Oakland Catholic (8-7, 6-4) to a Section 3-3A win over Laurel Highlands (6-7-1, 4-6).

Obama Academy 3, Highlands 1 – Orli Trumball scored two goals and Zenia Cook added one goal to lead Obama Academy (4-12) past Highlands (5-8) in a nonsection win.

Penn-Trafford 8, Armstrong 0 – Ellie Lebe had two goals and an assist and Tori Yurt also scored twice to power Penn-Trafford (9-6-1, 7-3) past Armstrong (7-9-1, 4-6) in Section 1-4A. Emilie Oslosky had a goal and an assist, Ava Oslosky, Addilyn Swartz and Kylee McClintock also scored and Aurelia Solomon dished out two assists for the Warriors.

Peters Township 7, Baldwin 0 – Brynn Busch had two goals and an assist and Livia Adamshick and Ally Froelich added a goal and an assist each to spark Peters Township (12-1-2, 10-0) to a Section 2-4A win over Baldwin (3-11-1, 1-9). Mandy Pirosko, Marina Hajnosz and Bailey Lutz also scored and Rylie Busch had two assists.

Pine-Richland 4, Allderdice 0 – Molly Baker scored twice, Lily Rosenwasser added a goal and two assists, Aubrey Bennet also scored and Shea Best and Amelia Van Meter combined on the shutout for Pine-Richland (13-2-1) in a Section 3-4A exhibition win over Allderdice (8-6).

Plum 5, Indiana 0 – Emily Grubich, Adrienne Arrigo, Bella Mains, Meghan Stammer and Keirstin Curry scored to lead Plum (12-1, 11-0) to a Section 4-3A win over Indiana (1-14, 1-10). Malayna Smith and Sophia Robinson combined on the shutout.

Seneca Valley 8, North Hills 0 – Bella Gianfrancesco and Cassie Leonard had two goals each while Leah Damico, Lexi Smith, Kami Christensen and Izzy Yuhouse also scored to send Seneca Valley (10-3-2, 7-1) to a Section 3-4A win over North Hills (3-12-1, 0-7-1).

Serra Catholic 3, South Allegheny 0 – Bella Dumbroski had a hat trick for Serra Catholic (6-7, 3-7) in a Section 3-A win over South Allegheny (1-13, 1-11).

Upper St. Clair 1, Mt. Lebanon 0 –Natalia Disora scored the winning goal and Camryn Friday earned the shutout in goal as Upper St. Clair (8-4-2, 5-4-1) defeated Mt. Lebanon (12-4, 7-3) in Section 2-4A.

Waynesburg 14, California 0 – Kolbi Rastoka had four goals and three assists, Emily Rafferty added two goals and two assists and Tess Pauley also scored twice to lead Waynesburg (8-3-2, 5-3-2) past California (1-11, 0-10) in Section 2-A. Rylei Rastoka collected a goal and four assists, Ava D’Allesandro had a goal and three assists and Peyton Cowell and Maddie Blair each added a goal and an assist. Maddy Loughner and Kaylee McLaughlin also scored and Peyton Cowell and Addie Cowell combined on the shutout.

West Allegheny 5, Chartiers Valley 1 – Ella Smith had a hat trick and Maddy Pons added two goals to lead West Allegheny (8-7, 7-4) to a Section 2-3A win over Chartiers Valley (4-9-2, 3-6-2).

Winchester Thurston 5, Greensburg Central Catholic 2 – Iris Jarrin had a hat trick and Matilda Yang and Sofia Winston added a goal apiece to lead Winchester Thurston (9-5-1, 6-2-1) to a Section 4-A win over Greensburg Central Catholic (3-6, 3-6).

Girls volleyball

Beaver 3, Lincoln Park 0 – Kailyn Connelly had 11 kills, Aubrey Bumblis finished with 14 digs and Kayden Blinn recorded 23 assists and four aces to lead Beaver (13-1, 7-0) past Lincoln Park (4-7, 0-6) in Section 3-3A. Anna Vinopal and Malaya Oster each served up five aces for the Bobcats.

Girls tennis

Mt. Pleasant 4, Neshannock 1 – The teams of Danica Trainer and Megan Bullock and Hannah Shawley and Chloe Zelmore swept the doubles matches in straight sets to lead No. 8 Mt. Pleasant past No. 9 Neshannock in the first round of the WPIAL Class 2A tournament. Ryleigh Drzal and Autumn Jurkovic-Kuzma won singles matches for the Vikings, who will face No. 1 Quaker Valley in the quarterfinals Thursday.

Bethel Park 5, Latrobe 0 – Cami Fisher, Mackenzie Smock and Hadley Murello swept the singles matches to lead No. 2 Bethel Park past No. 7 Latrobe in the Class 3A quarterfinals. Cassie Sierka and Keira Ross won at No. 1 doubles and Julia Ross and Mia Hogue at No. 2 doubles for the Black Hawks, who will meet No. 3 North Allegheny in the semifinals Monday.

North Allegheny 4, Fox Chapel 1 – The teams of Audrey Zheng and Rouxi Reddy and Ella Mangene and Remi Hayward swept the doubles matches to lead No. 3 North Allegheny past No. 6 Fox Chapel in the Class 3A quarterfinals. Mia Kaufmann and Samantha Leeman won singles matches for the Tigers, who will face No. 2 Bethel Park in the semifinals Monday. Eloise Johnson won a three-set match at No. 3 singles for the Foxes.

Cross country

MAC championships – Jonah Montagnese (15:26.90) won the boys race at Brush Creek Park to lead Quaker Valley to the team title. Tyler Bell (fifth) and Henry Howard (ninth) also finished in the top 10 for the Quakers. Ellwood City’s Lucas Bleakney (16:27.80) was second.

Mars’ Hailey Long (19:20.00) won the girls race and Moon took the team title. Elise Ashcroft (second) Rachel Stepp (fourth) and Alexis Schuler (10th) finished in the top 10 for the Tigers.
