A man was killed in an crash in Ligonier Township on Saturday morning when his vehicle went off the road and hit a tree, a fire chief said.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was traveling downhill on Darlington Road when his vehicle went off the road and hit a tree, Darlington fire Chief Kurt Rose said.
The Westmoreland County coroner personnel were called to the scene of the accident, which was reported at 11 a.m, a Westmoreland County Public Safety supervisor said.
Ligonier Valley police investigated the crash. Ligonier Valley Police Chief Mike Matrunics could not immediately be reached for comment.
