Rylee Wooldridge had 17 kills and 13 digs to lead Mars to a 3-0 victory over Freeport (11-5, 7-3), clinching the Section 2-3A title for the Fightin’ Planets (14-4, 9-1). Cecilia Christy added 11 kills, Gabi Weidemann dished out 36 assists and Alaina Graham had 17 digs for Mars.
Allderdice 3, Brashear 0 – Allderdice won the City League championship, sweeping Obama Academy in the semifinals before defeating Brashear in the finals. In the other semifinal, Brashear defeated Carrick, 3-1. Allderdice (4A), Brashear (3A) and Carrick (2A) will represent the City League in the state playoffs.
Canon-McMillan 3, Bethel Park 0 – Natalie Carr had 16 kills and 13 digs and Journee Scott added 13 kills for Canon-McMillan (11-6, 6-4) in a Section 1-4A win over Bethel Park (3-13, 1-9).
Hempfield 3, Latrobe 0 – Lauren Howard had 11 kills and Ella Berkebile added eight kills to lead Hempfield (12-3, 9-1) past Latrobe (9-5, 5-5) in Section 3-4A.
Indiana 3, Greensburg Salem 2 – Paige Fisanich had 15 kills and Gianna Boyer added 13 kills and four blocks as Indiana (13-3, 10-2) handed Greensburg Salem (15-1, 11-1) its first loss in Section 5-3A. Hannah Stone handed out 42 assists and Emma Todd contributed 12 kills for Indiana. Patty Redinger had 10 kills, Bella Dinkel finished with 24 assists and Maria Dinkel recorded 12 digs for the Golden Lions.
Mapletown 3, Avella 1 – Marley Shiflett dished out 36 assists, reaching the 500-assist mark for her career, to lead Mapletown (6-10, 4-6) past Avella (1-16, 0-10) in Section 3-A. Treslee Weston had 19 kills, Rowan Eisiminger added 16 kills, Leona Liggett had 13 digs and Makenna Lotspeich added 10 digs for the Maples.
Mohawk 3, Neshannock 0 – Reagan Magno had 10 kills, three blocks and 12 digs and Marli McBride added seven kills and 11 digs to lead Mohawk (13-4, 9-3) past Neshannock (11-4, 9-3) to clinch a share of the Section 4-2A title. Emme Druschel had nine kills and two blocks, Macey Tanner dished out 16 assists and Riley Shaffer had 14 assists for the Warriors.
South Allegheny 3, East Allegheny 0 – Regan McBeth had 15 kills and Madison Taylor had seven aces for South Allegheny (14-5, 10-3) in a Section 2-2A win over East Allegheny (0-12, 0-9).
St. Joseph 3, Apollo-Ridge 0 – Kate Giannetta led with 24 digs and 19 kills, Kenzie Jones followed with 16 kills, nine kills and five aces and Mia Andring had 17 digs and five aces for St. Joseph (11-4, 9-1) in a Section 1-A win over Apollo-Ridge (9-3, 7-3). Jillian Bloch also had 31 digs and two aces for the Spartans.

Ellis School 3, Greensburg Central Catholic 2 (OT) – Talia Dubowitz scored the overtime winner, leading Ellis School (5-7) past Greensburg Central Catholic (3-8) in a WPIAL Class A preliminary round playoff game. Emily Hummert and Sonia Palit also scored for the Tigers, who will meet No. 1 Sewickley Academy in the first round Tuesday.

Ellis School 3, Winchester Thurston 1 – Jordan Evans scored twice, Libby Laman added a goal and Kate Habershaw dished out two assists to lead Ellis School (6-6-1, 4-6-1) past Winchester Thurston (3-8-1, 3-7-1) in Class A.

Armstrong 2, Bethel Park 1 – Jake Graff scored both goals and Cole Ruffaner made 25 saves to lead Armstrong (3-0) to a Class 2A win. Dylan Hartman scored and Kevin Teamann made 22 saves for Bethel Park (1-2).
Burrell 4, Morgantown 3 – Brody Zeigler scored the game-winning goal with 4:23 left in the third period, leading Burrell (3-2) to a Division 2 victory. Colton Boda scored twice, Dante Taliani added a goal and Jared Wall had two assists for Burrell. Seth Munda made 33 saves. Cooper Cox scored twice and Dominic Petrucci had a goal and two assists for Morgantown (3-1).
Butler 8, Plum 4 – Greyson Steadman and Anthony Tromblatt each had two goals and an assist and Lucus Hensler finished with a goal and two assists to lead Butler (1-1) to a Class A win. Colby Bartos had two goals and an assist for Plum (2-1).
Central Catholic 4, Mt. Lebanon 2 – Cain Phillip scored two goals and Matteo Misiti and Brendyn McGurk had a goal apiece for Central Catholic (3-0) in a Class 3A win. Graham Resler and Cameron Mayer scored for Mt. Lebanon (0-3).
Chartiers Valley 3, Avonworth 2 (OT) – Austin Tornabene’s second goal was the overtime winner as Chartiers Valley (2-0-1) picked up a Class A win. Tyler Held had a goal and two assists and Ben Wladron made 36 saves for Chartiers Valley. Owen Stiers and Randy Bevan scored for Avonworth (1-1-1).
Hempfield 7, Baldwin 1 – Guerin Gardner had a hat trick and JJ Williams and Jonathan Holtzman added two goals apiece for Hempfield (2-0) in a Class 2A win. Mack Dempsey scored for Baldwin (1-2).
Moon 3, Indiana 2 – David Gallup, Clayton Foster and Tanner Desselle scored and Tyler Zeigler made 28 saves to send Moon (4-0) to a Class A win. Tyler Yount and Isaiah Hilliard scored and Jacob Wood made 33 saves for Indiana (0-2-1).
North Hills 3, Greensburg Salem 1 – Blake Kunkel had a goal and an assist and Christoper Muschar and Cole Hunt also scored to help North Hills (3-0-1) to a Class A win. Parker Talerico made 35 saves. Bryce Ferace scored for Greensburg Salem (1-3).
Penn-Trafford 6, Wheeling Park 2 – Jordan Tucek had a hat trick and Liam Lehneke, Nico Castelli and Ben Zierski added a goal apiece to lead Penn-Trafford (2-1) to a Class 2A win. Luke Simonetti and Gavin Hudrlik scored for Wheeling Park (0-1).
Quaker Valley 5, North Catholic 1 – Kieran Cain scored twice, Matthias Lezama had a goal and three assists and Jace Vasbinder added a goal and two assists for Quaker Valley (4-1) in a Class A win. Anthony Neely scored for North Catholic (0-1).
