Playoff path: Bentworth defeated No. 16 Brentwood, 7-0, in the first round; No. 9 Eden Christian, 6-0, in the quarterfinals; and No. 4 Beaver County Christian, 2-0, in the semifinals. OLSH beat No. 15 Greensburg Central Catholic, 13-1, in the first round; No. 7 Sewickley Academy, 4-1, in the quarterfinals; and No. 3 Winchester Thurston, 1-0, in the semifinals.

Throw-ins: These teams met in last year’s championship match and played to a scoreless tie in regulation and overtime. Bentworth edged OLSH, 5-4, in penalty kicks. … Bentworth has continued its dominance in search of a third straight WPIAL title. The Bearcats have outscored opponents 166-6 this season. They won Section 2 at 8-0 and held a 92-1 scoring margin. For the season, Bentworth has averaged 8.3 goals per game en route to a 20-0 record. Bentworth brothers Adam Moessner and Ryan Moessner were picked to the all-WPIAL list after they scored 36 and 47 goals, respectively, in the regular season. Coach Nick Malarbi was named the Class A coach of the year. Ryan Moessner was the TribLive player of the year in 2024 and has scored more than 100 career goals. … OLSH also has proven to be a dominating team this fall and remains unbeaten. The Chargers went 10-0 in Section 3 and allowed just four goals in section play. They outscored opponents 111-10 this season, averaging 6.5 goals per game. Owen Minzer was named the Western Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association Class A player of the year and was joined on the all-WPIAL team by teammates Patrick Altmar, Brady Hernandez, Luke Wrabley and Peter Zink.
