Act 1 index
Chartiers Valley approved the 2026-27 Act 1 resolution at its meeting Nov. 25.

Repairs
The Chartiers Valley School Board approved agreements for repairs to the running track gates at the high school stadium and to replace the barrier arm gate at the high school/middle school entrance.
The gates for the fence that surrounds the track swing in the wrong direction, which could cause damage to the track, according to the district. Metro Fence Co., of Coraopolis, will repair the gates for $2,866.
Metro Fence Co. will also replace the barrier arm gate for $8,610.

It is an annual conference for Title I staff and administrators.
eSpark Learning
Chartiers Valley officials signed an agreement with eSpark Learning for the district’s primary school students.
eSpark is a personalized, standards-aligned learning platform that uses interactive, game-based lessons to support student growth in reading and math, according to the district.
It allows teachers to deliver targeted instruction with real-time monitoring of progress while engaging students through an adaptive learning experience.
District administration recommended the product because students in kindergarten, first and second grades do not take a state assessment.
