The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League paid it forward. Four forwards with scoring punch are the league’s players of the month for November.
Class 3A: Junior Braden Morin of Seneca Valley had 14 points over a three-game stretch (9 goals, 5 assists), recording three straight hat tricks for the Raiders (8-0-1-0). He was leading the league in points (18) and goals (10) through six games.
Class 2A: J.J. Williams, a senior for Hempfield, had four goals and five assists in five games for nine points, including a power-play goal. For the season, he has nine goals and nine assists for the Spartans (8-2-0-0).
Class A: Quaker Valley sophomore Matthias Lezama produced 13 points – 6 goals, 7 assists – across four games for the Quakers (9-1-0-0). That includes a shootout goal. He is second in Class A with 28 points.
Division 2: Knoch senior Synjun McHattie put together quite a three-game run with seven goals and three assists, with two hat tricks. He helped the Knights (7-3-1-0) put together an eight-game winning streak.
