The start of Thursday’s game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Montreal Canadiens at PPG Paints Arena has been delayed until shortly after 7:30 p.m. due to a vehicular accident that has snarled traffic on I-279 southbound.
A number of the Penguins’ players live north of the city and are presumably hindered in their travel to the arena.
The opening faceoff of the contest was originally scheduled to begin at 7:08 p.m.
