After watching the latest Steelers vs. Ravens game, one cannot resist the question, “Is the NFL rigged?”

I tune in to watch NFL football to crown a legitimate champion at season’s end, not a scripted soap opera being controlled from league replay officials in New York going way out of their way to greatly influence a Steelers win. The NFL wants parity at any cost to generate more revenue.

It’s long past due for Congress to step in and look at antitrust violations. If this is over your head, don’t worry, as I’m sure you’ll be looking out your window Dec. 24 for a fat man in a sled flying our friendly skies.

Not once, not twice, but three times league officials stepped in to reach a desired result, while video replays told a much different story. The third incident took away a Ravens go-ahead touchdown with less than 3 minutes left. Not only did the explanation defy common sense but also defied established rules.

They think we are stupid. If you bet on games, you probably are stupid. If you buy tickets to these games, I think you are stupid. If you don’t speak up when Art Rooney comes looking for taxpayer money, you leave no doubt.

We’ve seen this when John Elway retired, when Peyton Manning retired, and now the script appears to be the Mike Tomlin/Aaron Rodgers bromance. Or is this the lead-up to the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh this spring?
