While there was no big winner in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing, one ticket sold in Pennsylvania won $1 million.

Without a main winner, the jackpot climbed to an estimated $1.5 billion for Saturday’s drawing.

The $1 million-winning ticket sold in Pennsylvania was one of five nationwide to match the five white balls — 25, 33, 53, 62, 66. Information about where the ticket was sold had not been released Thursday morning.

Saturday’s jackpot is the fifth-largest in the game’s history. The drawing will be the 45th in the current jackpot run, which lottery officials said is a record.

The Powerball jackpot was last won Sept. 6 in a $1.787 billion prize. It’s the second time in the game’s history that there have been back-to-back jackpots worth billions.

The odds of cashing in on the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, according to lottery officials.

The highest jackpot ever was $2.04 billion, awarded in 2022 in California.

Three tickets sold in Pennsylvania won a combined total of $600,000 in Monday’s Powerball drawing, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery. Worth $200,000 each, they were sold in Lehigh, Wayne and Dauphin counties. Each of the three retailers got a $500 bonus for selling the winning tickets that matched four of five white balls and the red Powerball.

More than 125,200 other tickets sold in Pennsylvania won lesser prizes in Monday’s drawing.
