A dog was shot in Pittsburgh’s Shadyside neighborhood Friday afternoon.
A large police presence was reported around 4:10 p.m. along the 4700 block of Center Avenue.
Authorities have advised the public not to come to the area.
An Allegheny County dispatcher said a dog was transported to a local animal hospital after being shot.
No other injuries or medical transports were reported.
It was unclear who shot the dog. No further information was immediately available.
