Police said no one was struck after gunfire erupted outside a movie theater in the South Hills on Tuesday afternoon.
Bethel Park police initially responded to a report of an attempted shooting at the South Hills Village Mall. First responders were called to the area near the AMC Theatre at the mall around 4 p.m. for a report of someone who had been shot, police said.
Officers arrived to find a male who’d been assaulted, but not shot. Police said an undetermined number of shots were fired, but no one appeared to have been struck.
Suspects in the incident fled the scene and were taken into custody after a police chase, Bethel Park police said.
They added there is no ongoing danger to the public.
