The term “Trump Derangement Syndrome” is not examined properly. A more accurate definition might be demonstrated in the opinion of Jared Whitely (“Counterpoint: It’s real, and it’s spectacular,” Dec. 20, TribLive), who believes that the opponents of President Trump are allergic to facts.
It’s no secret that the president and his cronies hate being fact-checked. I don’t know how Whitely could reach the conclusion that opposition to the president resulted in illiteracy in children or trash on the ground; this is in itself a deranged opinion.
It’s true that the president hasn’t started any wars (yet), but while out of office he cheered Putin and praised him for his paper annexation of the Donbas region and in office has all but demanded Ukraine surrender.
The list of pardons shows a peculiar approach to crime and makes a mockery of his war on drugs.
Oh yeah, the derangement is real, and in the White House — and in those who believe there is a “right way to vote.”
