1 injured in Homewood North shooting
A man was injured late Thursday in a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Homewood North neighborhood, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.
Police, fire and EMS crews were dispatched to 7300 Monticello St. shortly before 10:30 p.m. First responders found a man in his mid-30s with a gunshot wound in his thigh, Public Safety said. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but his health has since stabilized.
Detectives are investigating. No arrests have been made.

Pedestrian hit in West Homestead
A pedestrian is in critical but stable condition after being struck by a vehicle Thursday in West Homestead, according to Allegheny County Police.
Police were dispatched to the 500 block of West 7th Avenue around 6:30 p.m. A female pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street and taken to a local hospital. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with detectives, county police said.
