The Dec. 30 political cartoon stated that the year 2025 was “defective.” Well, our border was finally put in control (after four years of basically ignoring American laws and allowing chaos). The two years of “major” conflict in Gaza has ceased. The amount of illicit drugs smuggled into our country has been reduced. And countries that have taken advantage of America using tariffs and import restrictions for years have seen us stand up and correct the unfair treatment of our products.
Crime has been reduced in some of our major cities, including Washington, D.C. Our inflation rate, which was allowed to hit 9% in 2022, is now under 3%. The stock market has seen all-time highs. And legislation to reduce average American taxes is in place for ’26.
U.S. Steel has been saved and will continue to be headquartered in Pittsburgh, and the Mon Valley Works will see substantial investment. America’s energy resources will be unleashed to support our future needs and jobs. Half-finished pipelines which were stopped and wastefully rusting may now be usefully installed and completed.
Electric vehicle subsidies have been eliminated, and the American consumers will determine what they drive. Attempts are ongoing to stop the killing in Ukraine. And a strategy was put in place to allow our access to important metals and minerals needed for computers and weapons.
