A man who ran from police attempting to serve a warrant this week was arrested Wednesday evening in Latrobe, according to police.

Shawn Michael Prince, 29, was taken into custody in the 300 block of Spring Street, police said.

He was awaiting arraignment Thursday morning on charges of simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment. He is charged in connection with a domestic assault involving his estranged wife in a Rostraver parking lot on Jan. 4.

Latrobe and Rostraver police teamed up Tuesday night to serve an arrest warrant in Latrobe in connection with the allegations. Police said he ran from them and they spent several hours searching for him.

Prince had been free on $25,000 bail in an October kidnapping case filed by Scottdale police. He returned to Pennsylvania Dec. 11 after being found in Kentucky in early October with his then-wife, who had been reported missing after a domestic incident in Scottdale.

Court records indicate he spent three days in the Westmoreland County Prison before posting $25,000 through a bondsman and was released Dec. 14.
