A triple shooting Wednesday night in Arnold remains under investigation, police Chief Rob Haus said.

“It is an ongoing investigation, and there are many moving parts,” Haus said Thursday. “It is believed to have stemmed from a domestic incident.”

Police responded to the 2100 block of Leishman Avenue in Arnold just after 7 p.m. Wednesday for reports of shots fired, authorities said.

Preliminary investigations found that three men were shot in an exchange of gunfire with each other outside a home there, police said.

They were all taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

Their names have not been released, but Haus said there is no ongoing threat to the public.

“This appears to be an isolated incident,” he said.

Westmoreland County detectives are assisting Arnold police in the investigation. Melanie Jones, a spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office, said she did not anticipate charges being filed Thursday.

“There’s multiple parts and people to be interviewed. There’s still more interviews and questions to be asked,” Haus said.
