A goal and three assists by forward Tristan Broz led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 5-1 win against the Charlotte Checkers at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, N.C. on Friday.

The result snapped a three-game losing streak (0-2-1).

Linemate Atley Calvert and Valtteri Puustinen each had a goal and an assist for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (23-9-1-2) while forwards Boko Imama and Gabe Klassen both contributed a goal.

Goaltender Sergei Murashov made 21 saves on 22 shots, improving his record to 12-4-0.

A goal and an assist by forward Tanner Andrew helped the Wheeling Nailers beat the Trois-Rivières Lions, 4-3, at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va.

The result extended a winning streak to three games.

Forward Matthew Quercia recorded two assists for Wheeling (22-7-1-0) while defensemen Tommy Budnick and Brent Johnson, as well as forward Craig Armstrong, each contributed a goal.

Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 24 saves on 27 shots, boosting his record to 5-1-0.
