One might be hard-pressed to find a high school girls basketball program with so many players in the college game.

Norwin has talent scattered across the NCAA landscape, local and out of state, and those players are making their marks this winter.

Here is a look at some of those players:

Kendall Berger

School: Clarion

Year: Freshman

Position: Guard

Notable: A 1,000-point scorer at Norwin, Berger is starting to build a resume with the Golden Eagles. … She had started four games and was averaging 10.8 points and 25.3 minute a game. … She scored in double figures in her first three college appearances. … She poured in a career-high 22 points in an 81-74 win over Shepherd.

Kate Botti

School: Bethany

Year: Junior

Position: Forward

Notable: Botti started all eight games early on for the Bison. … She was averaging a team-high 8.9 rebounds along with 4.9 points. … A valuable and durable post presence, she has been a starter since her freshman season and was averaging 26.5 minutes for her college career.

Averi Brozeski

School: Clarion

Year: Freshman

Position: Guard

Notable: Another long guard at 5-10, Brozeski was coming off the bench in her first season in the PSAC. She played a season-high nine minutes against Lake Erie.

Ava Kobus

School: Allegheny

Year: Sophomore

Position: Guard/forward

Notable: The 6-foot swing forward started the first four games of the season for the Gators and has scored in double figures three times, including a 13-point game against Geneva. … She is averaging 24.7 minutes a game. … Played in 28 games last season, with two starts. … Has different role than high school, when she had a knack for making corner 3-pointers.

Alyssa Laukus

School: Chatham

Year: Senior

Position: Forward

Notable: A fourth-year starter, Laukus is again one of the top post players in the Division III Presidents’ Athletic Conference. … The 6-footer is on pace for a career season with 13.6-point, 5.5-rebound averages. … Has 29- and 21-point games this season. … She has produced 838 points and 448 rebounds in 78 career games. … Former PAC Newcomer of the Year.

Lauren Palangio

School: Holy Family

Year: Sophomore

Position: Forward

Notable: The 6-1 Palangio has appeared in four games this season, averaging 3.8 points and 4.0 rebounds. Last season, she played all 29 games, contributing 11.9 minutes on the low block. … She scored a season-high 18 points in 19 minutes and pulled down seven rebounds in a 77-39 win over Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras. She made 8 of 11 shots.

Brianna Zajicek

School: Cedarville (Ind.)

Year: Senior

Position: Guard/forward

Notable: Another fourth-year starter, three at Cedarville, who has shown steady leadership. Zajicek was averaging 8.7 points and 6.0 rebounds early in the season for the Yellow Jackets before suffering a season-ending injury. … Last season, she started all 29 games and scored 10.4 points and grabbed a team-best 5.2 rebounds game. … Played freshman year at Illinois Springfield and started all 28 games.
