Rodney Gallagher, the former four-star recruit from Laurel Highlands and experienced wide receiver at West Virginia, has a new college team.

The versatile Gallagher announced Saturday he will transfer to Arizona, with one year of athletic eligibility remaining.

Gallagher (5-foot-10, 181 pounds), who visited Tuscon on Friday, has 22 career starts with 64 receptions for 605 yards and three touchdowns. He had 28 catches this season, while also rushing 14 times.

He played four games on defense in 2024, collecting five tackles, and also returned punts.

Gallagher played quarterback and defensive back in the WPIAL.

Arizona lost its top three receiving targets to graduation, so Gallagher will have a chance to play right away with returning quarterback Noah Fifita.

DJ Jordan also joins the Wildcats’ receiving room out of USC.

Gallagher had a career game against Pitt this year with seven catches for 61 yards in a 31-24 win in overtime.

Arizona plays at WVU in 2026.
