Lailah Wright added 18 points for the Lions (14-1). Aubrey Graney paced the Knights (10-2) with 11 points.

Belle Vernon 52, Serra Catholic 46 – Aubrey Brown scored 14 points, Abby Russell added 11 and Lyla McConnell finished with 10 as Belle Vernon (10-3) rallied from four points down after three quarters to win at the MVI tournament. Bella Dumbroski scored 17, Lexi Pearce followed with 12 and Niki Sfanos chipped in 10 for Serra Catholic (7-4).

Central Valley 47, Farrell 46 – Emma Brown scored 18 points and Ashley Bible added 13 as Central Valley (3-8) overcame a six-point halftime deficit to defeat Farrell in a nonsection game. Kris Blue led Farrell with 16 points while Ja’Niva Daniels tallied 13 points.

Oakland Catholic 58, Allderdice 26 – Josie Fontana scored 22 points to lead Oakland Catholic (9-2) to a win at The Challenge at Allderdice. Rhyan Sledge scored 10 for the host Dragons (10-3).

Pittsburgh Christian Academy 44, Cheswick Christian Academy 19 – Gigi Weight scored 15 points and Sienna Nirella added 11 for Pittsburgh Christian Academy in a SWCAC win. Grace Kostick led Cheswick Christian with 14 points.

Ringgold 45, Frazier 16 – Jada Gernot scored 22 points and Alayna Macioce chipped in 10 to pace Ringgold (5-7) at the MVI tournament. Allie Yauch led Frazier (4-7) with 10 points.

Southern Garrett (MD) 54, Chartiers Valley 46 – In nonsection play, Jocelyn Word scored 22 points and Jayden Weaver contributed 15 points as Southern Garrett (Md.) beat Chartiers Valley (4-11). Alyssa Davis recorded 18 points for Chartiers Valley.

West Mifflin 42, Bishop Canevin 34 – Kendall Lee had 22 points as West Mifflin (6-8) beat Bishop Canevin (4-8) at the MVI tournament at Belle Vernon. Nerual Parms added 10 points for West Mifflin while Isabella Sysak scored a game-high 23 for Bishop Canevin.

Ambridge 69, Sto-Rox 67 (OT) – Jared Astorino scored 25 points and Shaq West put up 23 points, including the game-winning basket at the buzzer in overtime, to lead host Ambridge (4-8) to a win at PBC Legends Classic. LJ Washington scored 18 points, Karis Wills added 13, Marquis Thomas had 12 and Marcus Griffin chipped in 11 for Sto-Rox (5-6).

Bishop Canevin 63, West Mifflin 35 – Drew Allen Jr. scored 24 points to lead Bishop Canevin (8-6) past West Mifflin (1-14) at the PBC Legends Classic at Ambridge. Raukeem Hawkins chipped in 15 points for the Crusaders while Julian Drewberry’s 14 points led West Mifflin.

Cheswick Christian Academy 62, Pittsburgh Christian Academy 39 – Joseph Rosio had a triple-double with 32 points, 12 rebounds and 10 steals to lead Cheswick Christian (6-5, 2-0) to a Southwestern Christian Athletic Conference win. Brady Rochkind added 20 points and Sam Kostick had 10 for the Chargers. Max Taylor scored 12 and Jeremiah Watson finished with 11 for Pittsburgh Christian.

Frazier 55, West Greene 49 – Kolby Stewart had 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead Frazier (6-7) to the nonsection win against West Greene (3-7). Brant Alekson added 12 points and Austin Stewart contributed 10 points. Matt Wassil led West Greene with 12 points while Darren Knight and Landen Hill added 10 points each.

Hempfield 60, Gateway 53 – Trevor Donsen scored 17 points, Danny Husenits added 13 and Hempfield (9-5) erased a five-point deficit after one quarter to take a nonsection win. Luke Williams and Lucas Simmons each chipped in 11 for the Spartans. Mykel Bruce-McCrommon scored 20 and Isaiah Allah added 11 for Gateway (6-5).

Hopewell 74, Springdale 68 – James “Booboo” Armstrong scored 25 points as Hopewell (5-7) beat Springdale (5-7) in overtime at the PBC Legends Classic at Ambridge. Brody Rock and Justin Shegog contributed 15 and 13 points respectively. Robby Simmen scored a game-high 33 points for Springdale, Landon Linderman contributed 20 points and Trevor Clark had 10 points.

McGuffey 50, Brentwood 45 – In nonsection play, Kolt McGowan scored 18 points as McGuffey (7-7) beat Brentwood (7-7). Sam Stout added 15 points for McGuffey, which trailed by 12 at halftime before outscoring Brentwood 30-13 in the second half. Deng Mu and Xh’avier Nunez had 12 points each for Brentwood.

Moon 51, Allderdice 47 – Jackson Bauman scored 11 points and AJ Buford followed with 10 as Moon (10-2) won at The Challenge at Allderdice after trailing by five at the end of the first quarter. Keenu Brooks scored 11 and Lukas Stead had 10 for the host Dragons (8-6).

OLSH 53, Brashear 25 – Jake Johnson scored 20 points and Frankie Igrec added 10 as OLSH (9-4) defeated Brashear (5-9) at the PBC Legends Classic at Ambridge.

Penn Hills 58, Neighborhood Academy 57 (OT) – Amon Hawthorne had 16 points and 15 rebounds and Calix Clark also had 16 points as Penn Hills (7-5) beat Neighborhood Academy (11-2) in overtime at the Challenge at Allderdice. Tyrone Johnson added 10 points and nine rebounds for Penn Hills. Kedron Gilmore led Neighborhood Academy with 23 points while Dante Wright added 19 points and five 3-pointers.

Quaker Valley 60, Seton LaSalle 43 – At the PBC Legends Classic at Ambridge, Nic Cohen hit five 3-pointers and scored 23 points as Quaker Valley (10-3) defeated Seton LaSalle (10-4). Zach Washington and Sam Chapman added 15 points each. Gabe Gizzi had 15 points for Seton LaSalle and Charlie Crummie tacked on 11.

Riverside 47, Laurel 46 – Logan Young had 13 points as Riverside (9-3) edged out Laurel in a nonsection game. Evan Skinner chipped in 12 points for Riverside (9-4) while Cole Becker added 10. Seth Gilmore led Laurel with 12 points and Luca Santini recorded 11 points.

Shenango 62, Sharpsville 51 – Taegan Russo scored 18 points, Caleb McConnell had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds and Jaxon Webster chipped in 10 points to lead Shenango (8-3) to a nonsection win. Jared Bissell scored 22 to lead Sharpsville.

Thomas Jefferson 71, Ellwood City 51 – Nicholas Trklja scored 20 points to lead four players in double figures for Thomas Jefferson (13-1) at the PBC Legends Classic at Ambridge. Justin Fry added 18, Kane Eggerton 15 and Noah Sear 10 for the Jaguars. Kaleb Servick led Ellwood City (7-7) with 14 points. Aaron Lake had 13 and Tyler Smiley and Maykel Cuevas each chipped in 10 for the Wolverines.

Washington 58, Chartiers-Houston 46 – Tristan Reed scored 26 points to lead Washington (7-7) to victory over Chartiers-Houston (11-3) in nonsection play. Jamarie Walker added 10 points for Washington while Aaron Walsh and Bryson Boskovitch paced Chartiers-Houston with 13 points each.

Boys wrestling

Burgettstown tournament – Central Valley and Armstrong each crowned two champs to lead the way for the WPIAL contingent at Burgettstown. Angelo Boni (107) and Antonio Boni (133) took first for Central Valley and Kaleb Kinzey (172) and Taye Bradshaw (215) prevailed for Armstrong.

Other champs from the WPIAL were Quaker Valley’s Bruce Anderchak (121), Bentworth’s Drake McClure (139), Mt. Lebanon’s Cole Gibbons (160), Chartiers Valley’s Musabek (189) and West Greene’s Colin Whyte (285).

Mid-Winter Mayhem – WPIAL teams crowned two champs at IUP, with Peters Township’s Nicholas McGarrity winning at 114 and Trinity’s Will Detar taking the top spot at 133.

Girls wrestling

Blue Devil Girls Winter Classic – Host Mt. Lebanon crowned four champs en route to claiming the team title. Isla Silva won at 112, Sophia Beanner at 118, Paige Jox at 148 and Camilla Hathaway at 155.

Other champs from WPIAL schools were Upper St. Clair’s Sydney Laboon (130), Avella’s Abigail Dolanch (142), Beth-Center’s Bailey Bernot (170), Connellsville’s Ravyn Cameron-Botti (190) and Southmoreland’s Zoey Murphy (235).

Mid-Winter Mayhem – A pair of Kiski Area teammates took titles at IUP, with Ava Golding winning at 142 and Alyssa Tresco taking first at 170. Moon’s Haley Smarsh also topped the podium, winning at 130.
