With temperatures tonight dropping to the mid-20s, the National Weather Service Pittsburgh is warning about hazardous travel conditions because of ice.

NWS officials said any roads that are wet may freeze overnight. They urged motorists to use caution and take it slow if out traveling.

A few snow showers may also linger through 2 a.m.

Pittsburgh Public Works crews were called in early to treat city roads ahead of temperature drops Sunday evening.

The city called nightshift crews for a 12-hour shift with 40 trucks on the roads citywide until 10 p.m. and 20 trucks overnight to salt slickspots and problem areas.
