You may have heard that Mike Tomlin never had a losing season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He was the only head coach in NFL history to begin his coaching tenure with 19 consecutive non-losing seasons, a long-cited talking point among fans and media members touting the Steelers’ success under Tomlin.

Tomlin stepped down as the Steelers’ head coach on Tuesday, ending his 19-year tenure.

Here’s some other facts you might or might not have known about the Steelers’ former head coach:

• He was one of five active coaches who registered wins against at least 31 of the NFL’s current franchises. The only team he did not defeat was, obviously, the Steelers. He was the 14th coach in NFL history to accomplish that feat. Three of those 14 coaches only coached one team — Tomlin (Steelers), Bill Cowher (Steelers) and Marvin Lewis (Bengals).

The coaches who defeated all 32 franchises are Bill Belichick, Tony Dungy, John Fox, Bill Parcells, Andy Reid and Mike Shanahan.

• Tomlin had the third-most wins among NFL coaches in their first 19 seasons at 193, trailing only Bill Belichick (199) and Don Shula (194).

• Tomlin had 10 or more wins 12 times, fifth all-time behind Shula and Belichick (20), Reid (19) and Tom Landry (16).

• Tomlin was 14th all-time in games coached (309). George Halas leads the group with 497. Chuck Noll coached 342 games and is eighth on the list.

• Tomlin’s teams had a regular-season record of 108-46-1 in games played at Heinz Field/Acrisure Stadium. That home field win total is 11th most in NFL history. Chuck Noll (119) is seventh.

• The Steelers were 16-3 in regular-season finales under Tomlin.

• He had a record of 111-62-2 in one-score games played in the regular season.

• Tomlin’s record in regular season primetime games was 55-34. He more notably had a 22-4 record in “Monday Night Football” games, including 12-1 at home after Monday’s loss to the Texans in the wild-card round.

• Tomlin had a record of 133-19-1 when his teams allowed 19 or less points.

• Tomlin had a winning record against teams from every conference, except the AFC East.

AFC North: 77-369-1

AFC East: 19-21

AFC South: 26-11

AFC West: 20-17

NFC North: 12-8-1

NFC East: 12-9

NFC South: 13-4

NFC West: 14-8

• Tomlin’s teams had plenty of success against opposing rookie quarterbacks, accumulating a 27-7 record.

• Given the frequency in which they played, the opponents Tomlin’s teams defeated most were the Browns (28-9-1), Bengals (27-11) and Ravens (22-16).

He had an unbeaten record against the Falcons (5-0), Panthers (4-0), Lions (4-0-1) and Rams (5-0) in the regular season.
