Fundraiser
A pizza fundraiser to benefit Parker’s Fly High Foundation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Rocco’s Pizza, 112 S. Third St., Youngwood. A percentage of each purchase will be donated to the foundation that honors the late Parker O’Shell. Dine in, takeout or delivery. Irwin Senior Activity Center, 310 Oak St., will celebrate National Cheese Day on Tuesday, Jan. 20. Cheese samples will be available for tasting, and lunch and bingo will have a cheese theme. The center will close at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, for a blood drive. Registration for events and lunch required at least one day in advance. Donations are accepted for all activities. A veterans service officer will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, in the office of state Rep. Jill Cooper, 105 Pfeffer Road, Suite 5, Washington Township. Services available will include disability and pension claims, benefit questions, assisting spouses with survivor benefits issues and applications for veterans grants.
