Like towns and cities across the state preparing for a big storm, the elite boys basketball teams in the PIAA are preparing for the postseason by stacking victories.
While there were a couple of teams ranked in the Trib HSSN boys basketball state rankings last week that lost this past week, they either slipped a notch or two or stayed put.
In fact, there was only one team that fell out of the weekly state rankings and that happened in Class 6A where Central York lost twice, falling to Central Dauphin and Red Lion.
That opened the door for surging Methacton to claim a spot in the rankings this week.
Also there were no changes at No. 1 in any of the six classifications with Imhotep Institute Charter in 6A, Neumann-Goretti in 5A, Cathedral Prep in 4A, Mohawk in 3A, Delone Catholic in 2A and Sankofa Freedom Academy in A still enjoying life as the state’s top-ranked teams.
