Edgeworth officials appointed their council leadership and approved borough officers and committees on Jan. 20.

Joseph Hoepp and Ivan Hofmann were reappointed as council president and vice president, respectively.

Hoepp has been on council since about 1989 and president since 2007. Hofmann has been on council since 2004 and vice president since 2024.

Borough manager Ellen Politi swore in Mayor Gary Smith, Hoepp, Hofmann, council member Katherine Larsen and tax collector Hugh St. Martin to new terms. Politi is a notary public.

Borough operations remained the same with Politi as borough manager, Lennon Smith Souleret Engineering as borough engineer, Philip Weis as borough solicitor and James Vicheck as building and plumbing official.

Politi was also retained as zoning officer, borough secretary/treasurer, and flood plain administrator.

Amy Brown was retained as assistant secretary, assistant zoning officer, Right-to-Know officer and sustainability coordinator.

Keystone Collections Group is the borough’s earned income tax, Local Services Tax and business privilege tax collector. Jordan Tax Service is the deputy real estate and delinquent real estate tax collector.

Council members Daniel Wilson and Rebecca Cartus were absent on Jan. 20.
