Sweetwater Center for the Arts is celebrating Folk February with two concerts celebrating folk and Americana music.

Pittsburgh-based Buffalo Rose returns to Sweetwater for a three-peat performance Feb. 6.

The band will bring its six-piece “Theater Kid Americana” sound, featuring strong vocal harmonies, mandolin and acoustic instrumentation in an energetic, one-of-a-kind performance. The group released a new album, “All You Can Eat,” on Jan. 23.

The Faux Paws, consisting of brothers Andrew and Noah VanNorstrand and collaborator Chris Miller, will perform Feb. 26.

The group draws on folk dance traditions, bluegrass, jazz and experimentation to create a tightly connected sound.

After years of touring across North America, the Faux Paws released its self-titled debut album in 2021, followed by “Backburner” in 2023 and “No Bad Ideas” in 2025.

The trio with Upstate New York roots has performed several times in Pittsburgh and is excited to be back.

“Visiting Pittsburgh, for us, is very personal,” said Andrew VanNorstrand, guitarist and singer.

“We finished our album release cycle, and we’re just excited to be coming back to a city that we really love. We want to see some of our friends but also hope to make new ones.”

Folk February tickets are $25 per show and can be purchased on Sweetwater’s website at sweetwaterartcenter.org. Seating is limited and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

Complimentary water will be provided, and wine will be available for a donation.

Both concerts start at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30.
