We need to warm up, being that it’s minus-11 degrees out or whatever it happens to be today.
And so the TribLive Taste Test team decided to try out some off-the-beaten-path salsa varieties from the American Spoon company. They’re made with some unique ingredients like cherries, peaches and even pumpkin seeds.
American Spoon is based in Michigan, which produces the vast majority of tart cherries sold in the U.S. Peaches are also a summer staple of its agricultural economy.
And what about the pumpkin seeds?
Well, we weren’t really sure what precisely they added to the pumpkin seed salsa — since they usually kind of just taste like whatever you season them with — but was it good? Find out below!
