While a chill has been in the air, it has not slowed down the elite high school basketball teams around the WPIAL.

The boys Trib 10 remains practically the same as last week with the exceptions of a pair of flip-flops at the top and at the bottom.

The girls power rankings did have a shift in the lower half. The top six teams remain the same; however, three new teams have entered the girls Trib 10 as the regular season winds to a close.

The first change of the year at No. 1 takes place with New Castle suffering its first loss of the season last week to Pine-Richland, giving two-time defending Class 6A champion Upper St. Clair the hot seat while South Fayette continues to lead the way for the girls.

Here are the latest Trib 10 basketball power rankings with the overall record and last week’s ranking. These rankings have zero classification boundaries.
