Rap-rock musician Kid Rock will perform at the Pavillion at Star Lake with special guest Jon Pardi on his “Freedom 250: The Road to Nashville” tour this summer.
The concert, which promises to be high-energy and include Kid Rock’s hit songs, will take place on Saturday, June 20.
Kid Rock’s breakout came in 1998 with his album “Devil Without a Cause,” which sold 14 million copies and spawned his including “Bawitdaba” and “Cowboy.”
He is also well-known for 2002 single “Picture,” which featured fellow rock artist Sheryl Crow, and 2008 song “All Summer Long.” His style blends rock, rap and country music, and he has released 12 studio albums going back to 1990.
Kid Rock has also gained recent notoriety for his vocal support of President Donald Trump. He will headline Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show” on Sunday.
He is also facing controversy this week for lyrics from song “Cool, Daddy Cool” from the 2001 “Osmosis Jones” soundtrack. In the song, he raps, “Young ladies, young ladies, I like ‘em underage, see some say that’s statutory (But I say it’s mandatory).”
Tickets for the Star Lake show will go on sale on Friday, Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com.
