Just a few random thoughts that might give some readers a break from the endless political letters that appear on this page. Unlike those, I do not profess anything I say here to be factual, just my observations and opinions.

1. No matter how many phone calls you make, you’re not going to save hundreds on your car insurance.

2. Your phone extensions haven’t recently changed. Stop with this one already.

3. Calling someone a conspiracy theorist doesn’t make them wrong. Maybe this is just a way to silence those with ideas that are uncomfortable to the ruling elite?

4. Politics was, is and always will be ripe for corruption. “Thousandaires” become millionaires and millionaires become multimillionaires in a few short years. It’s just magic, nothing to see here.

5. Phonics is the key to successful reading and should never have been removed from our schools. Look at the test scores. Jumping on every passing educational trend has been a disaster.

6. NYC will soon “find out” (they’ve already done the other part).

7. Fraud appears to be one of America’s top five industries. Apparently created and approved in certain parts of the country. Think about that the next time you are paying your taxes.

8. If you could never believe there is more to the 9/11 story, then read up on Operation Northwoods and MK Ultra. It’s quite the eye-opener.

9. Calling 1-800-Gambler is too late.

10. Bring back adverbs. It not “so fun” without them.
