Height – 5-foot-8

#Earned – Following four straight losses in mid-January, Mars was on the outside of the playoff bubble in Section 3-5A.
A win over Moon ended the skid as the Fightin’ Planets entered the final week of the regular season in dire need to stack victories.
On Monday, Mars crushed struggling New Castle as senior guard/forward Alexis Cashdollar led the way with 21 points.
That set the stage for back-to-back games against the team they were battling for fourth place, Montour, and third-place Chartiers Valley.
The Fightin’ Planets had lost to both teams in their first meeting and couldn’t afford to lose any tiebreakers.
Cashdollar was money against Montour, scoring 26 points as the Fightin’ Planets downed the visiting Spartans, 43-30.
On Friday, a win at Chartiers Valley would clinch yet another trip to the postseason.
The offense was as cold as the weather as Mars managed only six points in the first half, yet only trailed by six at the break.
Once again, Cashdollar sparked the comeback, finishing with 21 points as the Fightin’ Planets beat the Colts, 38-29.
Mars’ four-game win streak ended Saturday with a six-point loss to Class 4A power North Catholic in which Cashdollar was held to 14 points.
The senior not only led her team for three section wins to secure a playoff spot by scoring 82 points in four games, she also hit a personal milestone by scoring career point No. 1,000 in the win at Chartiers Valley.
She will continue her career in the fall at Wake Forest.
Her older brother Andrew played basketball and football at Mars before graduating in 2023. He attends Kentucky.
Away from the hardwood, Cashdollar likes to play pickleball and fish.
